INTRODUCTION To InnReserve ©
My wife and I own The Great Valley House of Valley Forge Bed and Breakfast. My wife was managing this business off of scraps of paper. She had problems knowing how well she was doing and dealing with the state, local and federal taxes. I decided to write her a reservation system. The software had to be Windows based, have a reservation entry form and create the desired reports. It had to have a monthly calendar like the paper one she used (the 8 1/2 X 11 notebook type where she could see what was booked, for how many nights and what was still available at a glance). I used the latest programming tools for Microsoft Windows to create the solution she needed.

The reservation program worked great and has been used by my wife since 1995.  A determination, on my part, to keep the software deliberately simple (as simple as it can be in the world of personal computers) lent itself to my wife's acceptance. 

The next step was was a decision to offer this reservation system to other Inn operators. InnReserve was rewritten to to include a set up feature, handle multiple variations of pricing, address various  local tax structures and international capabilities to address the general world wide market for small Inns of 12 rooms or less. There is now a large community of InnReserve users around the world.
